An option for our patients suffering from severe opiate use disorder (dependency) is our MAT (Medically Assisted Treatment) program. Pain medications like Oxycontin, Oxycodone, or Hydrocodone can be highly addictive. These pain medications and other drugs like Morphine and Heroin are classified as opiates. If you or someone you know is struggling with opiate dependency or abuse, we can help. Alevea Mental Health's providers are trained in medication assisted treatment and provides therapeutic interventions, including Suboxone® (buprenorphine) to reduce physical and psychological cravings for opiates.
Suboxone® (buprenorphine) is an FDA approved opioid partial agonist. An agonist is a chemical that binds to a receptor of a cell and triggers a response by that cell. Agonists often mimic the action of a naturally occurring substance. At low doses, Suboxone® (buprenorphine) produces sufficient agonist effects to enable the individual to discontinue the use of opiates without experiencing withdrawal symptoms.
Alevea Mental Health's MAT Agreement would detail the Suboxone® use expectations, scheduled drug screening, random drug screening, compliance, and our commitment for patient safety. Alevea offers both a taper and a maintenance program depending on the patient's needs and associated factors.
MAT Program offers:
Mental health assessment
Assessment and screening for medication readiness
Base-line and random drug screening
Psychological testing as needed
Regular medication management
Referral to Therapist or Counseling group
